I use Dropbox, OneDrive and Google Drive on a daily basis so I have all three clients installed on my computer to get all data synced up. The SkyDrive.exe is not essential for the Windows Operating System and it causes relatively few problems. SkyDrive.exe is basically located in a subfolder of the user's profile folder. Files On-Demand lets you keep all your files and folders stored on OneDrive available on your PC without eating up local storage space. You don't need a Chromebook to enjoy the features of Google's Chrome OS. All you need is a working PC and a USB drive. Since I prefer working on my Windows XP desktop rather than my Windows 7 laptop, I never had the chance to try Skydrive before (the PC app is not supported in Windows XP).
